Stanley is a Taiwanese-Canadian and Mandarin-speaking lawyer in Vancouver, BC, where he attended St. George’s School. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies (Hons) from the University of Waterloo and an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Birmingham, UK.


Stanley practices immigration, corporate, and franchise law. He has represented clients in the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia, in addition to assisting clients through complex immigration matters from representing clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, obtaining permanent resident status on humanitarian and compassionate bases, to guiding foreign workers and international students on their path towards Canadian citizenship. Stanley has also assisted local start-ups and international companies establish a footprint in Canada by creating, maintaining, and expanding their company’s legal framework.


During his legal practice, Stanley has worked with various organizations, including the Vancouver Association for Survivors of Torture, The BC Muslim Association, the Canadian Mental Health Association, Taiwan Chamber of Commerce, Taiwan Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs Association, and various government departments.


In his spare time, Stanley serves as a director on the board of directors of the Dunbar Community Centre Association. He dedicates a portion of his practice to ensuring equal access to justice through Access Pro Bono and Legal Aid BC.
